Day 1. Arrival in Irkutsk, free day

After lunch our sightseeing tour will begin from the 130th quarter. Transferring into a comfortable vehicle, you will drive through the city to learn about its history and stroll through the ancient streets. During the tour, you'll see that there is a beautiful juxtaposition of a low-rise center with churches and noblemen's mansions. The guide will take you on a journey through time: you'll learn a little about the history of the Angara river embankment, Kirov Square, the hydroelectric power plant dam.

Day 2. Journey to the heart of Baikal

Day 3. Excursion to the north of Olkhon - Khoboy cape
After breakfast we drive to one of the most picturesque places in Baikal - Khoboy cape. It's situated on the northern side of Olkhon. "Khoboy" translates as "fang," a name associated with the shape of a section of rock, visibly towering above the rock massif. From the cape to the northeast, the underwater mountains of the Akademichesky Range, which separates the Srednebaikalsky and Severobaikalsky hollows, extend across Baikal. When the weather is clear, the western and eastern shores of Lake Baikal and Bolshoi Ushkanyi Island are clearly visible from the cape.

Visiting a rocky cape on the northwest shore of Olkhon Island - Sagan-Khushun, which translates as "white cape". Its cliffs abruptly drop into the strait of the Small Sea, and in some places there is a descent to the water. Interestingly, the color of the cape rocks themselves is from light gray to whitish, but a significant part of the surface of the rocks is "repainted" in red due to the pigment of the many lichens growing there. The cape is a cult object, and the rock "Three Brothers" located there is a "character" of Baikal legends. From here you can enjoy some of the most fantastic views.
Next, we return to the hotel.
